App changelog for 26th April 2024

This week I've shipped two new features that go hand-in-hand.

Swiped Transactions screen

First up is the Swiped Transactions screen. This shows all the transactions you've swiped in the past.

Edit transactions

The second feature is the ability to edit these transactions. If you've made a mistake and categorised it wrong or you accidentally swiped the wrong direction, there wasn't a way to correct it; until now. Tapping on a transaction from either the new Swiped Transactions screen, or any of the Insights tabs, will open a form where you can make changes.

Fixing a user experience issue

When first facing a card some users have reported the categories not opening. This appeared to be the case on smaller screens where the category list was opening but being hidden, requiring scrolling within the card. But there is no obvious indication you can scroll.

I've tried to fix this by animating the category list opening, and shrinking the transaction details so they're higher up on the card. I'll keep an eye on this change to see if it helps, and keep iterating if needed.
