A Free Online ADHD Screening Tool
A free tool that can give a steer as to whether it may be worth seeking a more formal assessment by a healthcare professional.
It can be really hard to know what symptoms are potentially related to ADHD and which are a part of everyday life. It's normal for everyone to exhibit some symptoms of ADHD, some of the time. We wanted to create a free tool that can give a steer as to whether it could be worth seeking a more formal assessment by a healthcare professional.
What is ADHD?
ADHD, or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, is a common neurodevelopmental condition that affects how people focus, control impulses, and manage their energy levels. It's often diagnosed in childhood, but it can continue into adulthood.
People with ADHD might find it hard to sit still, stay organised, or pay attention for long periods. It's not just about being "hyper" or easily distracted; ADHD is more complex and varies from person to person. Some might struggle more with attention (often called ADD in the past), while others might have more issues with hyperactivity and impulsiveness.
It's important to know that ADHD isn't a character flaw or something that can be outgrown—it's a legitimate condition that affects how the brain functions. The good news is that with the right support, like behavioural strategies, medication, or therapy, people with ADHD can manage their symptoms effectively and thrive in their personal and professional lives.
The Free ADHD Screening Tool
The simple screening tool below is a series of 6 questions that will ask you questions to assess whether your behaviour is consistent with ADHD or not. However, it is not designed to be a replacement for a formal diagnosis. This will need to be completed by a healthcare professional.
